“Journey of love, diary of Thien Nhan” book released in Ho Chi Minh city

PSNews – The book “Journey of love, diary of Thien Nhan”, about the little boy’s struggle against serious illness, was introducedon July 30 at the Kim Dong Book Center, Ho Chi Minh City.

The book was written by Journalist Tran Mai Anh - adoptive mother of Thien Nhan and published by Kim Dong Publishing House.

"This book is my diary about Thien Nhan, I believe it will make readers think about other unlucky children. There are still less fortunate children than my boy - Thien Nhan", shared Mai Anh during the book release ceremony.

is the book contains Mai Anh and her mother –Kim Anh’s notes about their daily life with ThienNhan. The book reveals many important details in the course of treatment of Thien Nhan, a young boy with genital problem safter being abandoned and attacked by wild animals.

When Mai Anh agreed to publish her diary, her goal, like many other mothers, was, at first, to tell amonther’s simple pride in the process of rearinga child.

Mai Anh and her colleagues are currently running the program "Thien Nhan and Friends" - a program basedon the experience intreating Nhan.

Under the program, doctors from the US and Italy have provided free genital regeneration operations for 230 Vietnamese children, and given free medical consultancies and health check-ups to 800 other patients since August 2011. The number of free genital regeneration operations is still increasing.

Besides, the “Thien Nhan and Friends” program’s organizers have coordinated with many Vietnamese hospitals in conducting conferences on urology &genitals regeneration, which efficiently help poor Vietnamese children suffering from defects or loss of genitals. The program also raised funds to equip surgical instruments for hospitals.

With the book“Journey of love, diary of ThienNhan", the Kim Dong Publishing House hopes to spread love and compassionin the community. All proceedsfrom selling the book will be provided for the “Thien Nhan and Friends” program.
