Launching the ASEAN press photo contest

In the morning of October 19, at the “ASEAN Journalism: Comparative perspective” seminar, Permanent Vice Chairman of Vietnam Journalists Association Ho Quang Loi announced the photo contest named “ASEAN- A community” of the ASEAN Journalists Confederation.

This year, in the role of Chairman of CAJ in term 2015-2017, the Vietnam Journalists Association hosts the contest. This CAJ significant professional activity creates opportunities for every journalist member of media organization in ASEAN community can stand a chance to join.

Such contest also promotes the solidarity and connection among journalists, media organizations; exchanges the experiences and specialist skills; enhances the CAJ contribution of the regional development process and heightens the CAJ influence in each country, in the region as well as in the world.

The photos have to tell the beauty of life in ASEAN, the pretty moments of daily life, the folk customs, the traditional and modern cultures; or the activities reflecting the links, friendships and the solidarity between member states in ASEAN community for a peaceful and prosperious ASEAN.

Deadline for the contest is on November 10. The regulations of the photos took a test: news photo (black & white or colour) taken during the last 3 years. Digital photo and panorama photo must be formatted JPG or JPEG (minimum image size 2000x1500 pixel, minimum capacity 1MB, maximum capacity 10MB, resolution 300 DPI).

Each file photo must be named and noted in English (maximum 200 words) with the contact of photographer: name and surname, nationality. The contest result and award will take place end of December, on the occasion of 1st anniversary ASEAN Community establishment.
