Local image wins prize at Sony World Photography Awards 2021

An image snapped by Vietnamese photographer Khanh Phan titled “Drying fish” finished first in the travel category at the Sony World Photography Awards 2021.

A photograph captured by a local photographer themed “Drying Fish” features a lone woman surrounded by hundreds of trays containing drying fish in the Long Hai fish market in the southern province of Ba Ria-Vung Tau. With the image taken from above, the pattern of the fish on the trays resembles a large piece of fabric that the woman has seemingly put together.
