London Symphony Orchestra to perform on Hanoi’s pedestrian streets

The news was announced at a press conference held by the Hanoi People’s Committee and Vietnam Airlines on September 19 to give details on the Vietnam Airlines Classic – Hanoi Concert 2018.

The annual event aims to bring world-class cultural and artistic performances to local audiences. This year’s 105-minute concert will be held from 7pm-9pm on October 6 at Ly Thai To flower garden and pedestrian street zone near Hoan Kiem lake under the baton of one of the world’s finest conductors, Elim Cham.

Artists will perform eight masterpieces by famous local and foreign musicians namely Van Cao, Antonin Dvorak, Pablo de Sarasate, Jean Sibelius and Felix Mendelssohn.

Apart from the main stage, a sub-stage will be erected at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square and two large TV screens will be installed at Dinh Tien Hoang street to serve audiences.
