Miss Universe H’Hen Nie calls on people to buy books under heavy rain

PSNew - The image of Miss Universe Vietnam 2017 H’Hen Nie calling on people to buy under heavy rains in Danang city made the audiences moved.

H’Hen Nie, who is also the Ambassador of “Room to Read” - a global non-profit organization for literacy and girls’ education, urged people to buy books, in support of  the charitable program “Active for Education".

The event was held based on the idea of H’Hen Nie and received support from Tiki company. All proceeds will be donated to the fund of "Room to Read". This is part of the community project that H'Hen Nie will bring to the Miss Universe 2018.

H’Hen Nie comes from an Ede ethnic minority family in the Central Highland province of Đak Lak. She was crowned Miss Universe Vietnam in 2017 and will compete at the Miss Universe 2018 in December in Thailand.

Earlier, H’Hen Nie had pledged to raise for some US$22,000 to set up a “Room to Read” library with quality reading materials in the Central Highlands province of Lam Dong as well as to offer scholarships to 50 student from member countries of the “Room to Read” organization.
