PSNews–the 6th Then singing of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic minority groups will take place from May 12 to 14 with the participation of some 500 artisans from the art teams of 14 different provinces and cities.
According to representatives of the Provincial Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism of Ha Giang at a press conference in Hanoi on May 4, various unique sport and cultural activities will also be held during the festival.
The festival is part of the efforts to preserve and promote the Then singing, a special folk art form attached of the Tay, Nung and Thai ethnic groups.
The festival will also feature the KhauVai Love Market, to be organized in Meo Vac town and KhauVai commune, Meo Vac district. The KhauVai Love Market will open on May 11.
The opening ceremony of the festival is slated for May 13 at 26-3 square of Ha Giang city, and will be broadcast on various TV channels.
