“New-year writing” festival to kick off
PSNews - Every year, the People's Committee of Chi Linh town (Hai Duong province) holds a grand “New-year writing” festival, during which calligraphic words are offered to visitors. The festival aims to promote the fine tradition of paying respect to scholars, teachers and those with high academic achievements.
The organizers of the festival also target the promotion of the values of Phuong Hoang (Phoenix) National Relic Site, contributing to raising public awareness and sense of responsibility in maintaining and promoting national cultural heritage values, meeting people’s and tourists’ spiritual need.
The festival offers visitors a chance to enjoy the solemn atmosphere and the joy of celebrations that honor teachers and students with high academic outcomes of Chi Linh town and Thanh Tri district (Hanoi).

The festival this year is scheduled to open on February 4 (the 8th of the first lunar month) with various traditional activities.
Every year, two major festivals are held at Phuong Hoang National Relic Site. They are the “New-year writing” festival (normally taking place on the 6th of lunar January) and the “Tribute to Ancestors” festival (held on the 26th of lunar November), attracting a great number of visitors, especially students and teachers.
