PSNews - In a hustle and bustle of city life, a unique yoga performance held in the midst of Hanoi on June 17 helped connect all people together in a peaceful and civilized atmosphere.

On June 17, the Indian Embassy in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; the Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee; and Bao Viet life insurance company held a yoga performance and the Hand Shake concert.

The event has been the first of the 9 events (from June 17 – July 2) in Vietnamese provinces and cities in celebration of the International Day of Yoga (June 21), the 45th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between Vietnam and India, and the 10th anniversary of founding of strategic partnership of the two countries.

This was also a meaningful activity within the framework of a community programme mobilized by Bao Viet life insurance themed “Protecting Vietnamese Values and Vietnamese Health”, aiming to build a peaceful, happy and prosperous society.

In Hanoi, in the cultural space of the Hoan Kiem lake walking zone, the International Yoga Day celebration attracted thousands of visitors and local people.

The yoga performance with the participations of over 1,000 yogis in Hanoi and other provinces created a invisible connection among people, raising public awareness of protecting health.

At the event, Bao Viet life insurance company presented each yogi a yoga book titled “Common Yoga Protocol” issued by the Indian Ministry of Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homoeopathy (AYUSH).

Similar events will be held in other 8 provinces and cities of Vietnam until July 7.
