Photo exhibition “Vietnamese equal families” opens
In the buildup to the Vietnamese Family Day (June 28), the Embassy of Sweden in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Vietnam Women's Museum organized the photo exhibition named "Vietnamese equal families" on June 21, in Hanoi.
At this event, the organizing board also announced a list of winners of the photo contest “Vietnamese equal families”.
Speaking at the event, Gustav Dahlin, a representative of the Embassy of Sweden in Vietnam shared that equality is a very important and meaningful issue in every part of the world. He expressed his delight when having received many entries to the photo contest, including photos by famous photographers.
Via this contest, the organizing board hoped to promote the gender equality in all families and encouraged families' members to share responsibilities, particularly in caring for children and doing housework while supporting each other in developing their careers.
The first prize of this photo contest went to the photo by Mr. Nguyen Huu Thong named "The sharing of work".
Thong stated that: "Family makes much sense to Vietnamese people. Family is the place where we start our journey and it is also still there when we come back."
All winners of the photo contest and other 20 good photos will be displayed at the Vietnam Women's Museum by the end of July.
