Purple crape myrtle blossom on Hanoi streets

In summer, many streets of Hanoi are covered with the purple as it is the time for crape myrtle to go to blossom. 
Purple crape myrtle flower is known as a symbol of summer to signal the end of a school year. It is also called the flower of loyalty.
At the beginning of May, purple crape myrtle starts blooming as an "alarm clock" heralding that summer has come.
 Crape myrtle flowers often grow in raceme but the flower’s color may vary from purple to light violet. 
Purple crape myrtle flower has changed the color of Hanoi streets.
