Quang Tri province – the promising land for tourism

PSNews - In 2017, Quang Tri has just put into operation a hot spring site named Klu in Dakrong commune, Dakrong district, and has deployed other valuable cultural activities. 

In recent years, the tourism sector of Quang Tri province has implemented several innovation strategies to attract visitors, contributing to local socio-economic development.

Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province Nguyen Huu Thang said: "Surveys show that the tourism sector of Quang Tri is flourishing thanks to provincial innovations. In addition, tourist services companies seriously comply with the regulations and understand how to build up credibility to customers."

In 2016, because of the serious environmental incident along the central coastline, the number of tourists to Quang Tri decreased significantly. 

However, local relics and landmarks still attracted about 72,000 domestic and foreign visitors, and earned a total revenue of about VND 2.8 billion. Other eco-tourism facilities and resorts in the province served nearly 1.1 million tourists, and reached a turnover of over VND 1,000 billion.

Quang Tri has so far attracted 20 investment projects in tourism with a total land area of 168.49 hectares and a total registered capital of VND 3,335 billion. Of the projects, 4 have been completed and put into operation with a total land area of 6.53 hectares and a total investment of VND 176.6 billion.
