“Red flower” art programme held

PSNews – The 10th “Red Flower” art programme took place on July 22 evening, in Hanoi, aiming to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives for liberation of the country.  

The programme saw the presence of Mrs. Lam Thi Phuong Thanh, Deputy Head of the Central Commission of Education and Communications; Mr. Nguyen The Ky, General Director of VOV, and other representatives of Central and local agencies.

The programme, which was co-organized by the Ministry of Labor, Wounded Soldiers and Social Affairs; the Ministry of Education and Training; the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee; and the Vietnam Communist Party Online Newspaper, aimed to pay tribute to revolutionary veterans, wounded soldiers, policy families, martyrs and their relatives across the country.

Participating divas and singers of Vietnam performed many meaningful songs at the night.

Reportedly, after 10 times organizing the art programme, the organizing board has received nearly VND 45 billion of donation from international and domestic enterprises, organizations and individuals.

From the proceeds, the organizing board has presented over 12,000 savings books, 526 gratitude houses, nearly 600 cows to relatives of martyrs, wounded soldiers and Vietnamese Heroic Mothers as well as over 4,000 scholarships to needy students across the country.
