Russian Book Week kicks off to celebrate Great October Revolution

PSNews - On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Great Russian October Revolution (November 7th, 1917 - 2017), the Ho Chi Minh Municipal Department of Information and Communications in collaboration with the Duong Sach Company opened the Russian Book Week in Ho Chi Minh City.
The event runs from November 1 to 8 at Nguyen Van Binh Book Street in District 1.
At the event, various bookstores are open to public. Visitors are also able to receive the latest books from publishers.
Besides, many fascinating activities within the event will be organized, including a book exhibition entitled "Memories of Russia" displaying nearly 200 Marxism-Leninism, children, fine arts, science-technology and literature books and the seminar "Russian Literature Translation: past and present" with the attendance of translators Pham Ngoc Thach and Tran Tien Cao Dang.
"100 Russian Songs" - a book by music composer The Hien, will also be introduced at the event.
The highlight of the Russian Book Week will be the seminar featuring the 100th anniversary of the Great Russian October Revolution with the participation of Assoc. Prof., Dr. Ngo Minh Oanh, Tran Thi Nguyet Sa and Assoc. Prof., Dr. Ha Minh Hong.
