"Sa Dec in spring" Photo Awards 2018 winners announced

The organizers of the photography contest "Sa Dec in Spring" 2018, that ran from December 10th 2017 to January 10th 2018, have received 298 entries of 40 photographers from the Mekong Delta, HCMC, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Dak Lak and Dong Thap.
The contest's entries reflected the unique characteristics and diversity of life as well as unique cultural activities of people. They also portrayed photographers' feelings about the daily activities of people in the Southwest region in general and of the Sa Dec people in particular.
At the award ceremony, the photo "Early sunshine in flower village" by photographer Lam Minh Nhut from Lap Lo district, Dong Thap province won the first prize. The second prize went to the photo "Sa Dec flower village" by photographer Ly Hong Be from Can Tho City.
Photographer Hoang Nghia (Cao Lanh City, Dong Thap Province) with his photo named "Velvet Grass" and photographer Hoa Van from Lap Vo District, Dong Thap province with the photo " Sa Dec Flower Village" received the third prizes. The organizers also awarded consolation prizes to 7 photos.
The "Sa Dec in spring" Photo Awards 2018 aimed to promote the historical-cultural relics, natural landscapes, traditional craft villages and people of Sa Dec, with the hope of attracting domestic and foreign investment and tourists to the locality.
The contest also aimed to honor photographers and reporters working in the field of culture and arts, who have been contributing to the art and culture of Sa Dec city as well as the Dong Thap province and the whole country.
