Sam Son sea festival 2021 brightens up central province

Each year the festival is jointly organised by the administration of Thanh Hoa province along with Sun Group, with its opening ceremony being broadcast live on Vietnam Television’s VTV1 channel.

Plenty of singers and dancers are present to participate in the event.

A music gala held to mark the opening of the event serves to enthrall members of the audience.

Local singer Pham Thu Ha puts her wonderful voice on show through performing songs about the sea and love.

Singer Phuong Thanh (R), a native of Thanh Hoa, takes to the stage to give a performance alongside young singer Dan Duong.

Many dancers are on hand to participate in the occasion.

The function is packed with both local residents and visitors.

The highlight of the event is a 100-metre-wide stage which is considered to be the largest throughout Thanh Hoa province.

A 15-minute firework display serves to light up the night sky immediately following the conclusion of the opening ceremony.

The festival marks the start of a wide range of cultural and tourism activities this summer, including the motor festival, a music festival, a kite flying festival, in addition to a street carnival.

The event is scheduled to last until July 31, with the primary aim to recover the local tourism industry following a hiatus caused by the fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
