Scientific film festival opening in 19 provinces

• Festival to promote ethnic culture and tourism in northwest VN
• Dance Festival "Europe meets Asia in contemporary dance 2016”

The festival theme is “The science of materials”: How to produce materials such as paper, plastic? How do they affect the environment? Which material can replace the harmful substances? Can the production of raw natural materials like spider fiber or wood be used as a typical example of the technical development?

14 scientific films from 7 countries shown in this festival will encourage young people to study science and learn in a creative way.

The festival will last out the December and take place in 19 provinces including Hanoi, Quang Tri, Hoi An, Tam Ky, Quang Nam, Dak Lak, Ho Chi Minh city, Bac Lieu, Da Lat, Soc Trang, Vinh Long and Dong Thap.

Within the festival, the exhibition named “Protecing the enviroment is your future” will come about in Hanoi from November 14 to December 4.

It will display awarded products by students in grades 7, 8 and 9 in the competition last year named “Resources and Water-Protecting the environment is your future”

The documentary titled “The Silent” directed by Matthias Leupold will be screened on November 12 in Geothe Institute in Hanoi. The film mentions 10 Vietnamese veterans severely affected by the agent orange/dioxin.
