Nearly 200 objects from shipwrecks in Vietnamese waters are on display at an exhibition that opened in the central coastal province of Quang Ngai on January 29.
- Exhibition reveals maritime secrets from ancient shipwrecks
- Painting exhibition welcomes Year of the Pig
- Photo exhibition marks 320-year growth of Sai Gon-Ho Chi Minh City
The exhibits are selected from more than 60,000 objects collected by Doan Anh Duong Investment and Development JSC over the past 15 years.
Most of the items are ceramic, including those dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, found on ships that wrecked off Cu Lao Cham island in the central province of Quang Nam and Phu Quoc island in the southern province of Kien Giang.
The display is expected to be integrated with other services and art showcases in order to pull in a wider crowd and attract more visitors.
