“Sound of the silk” program lights up Hanoi

PSNews – A series of activities themed “Sound of the silk” (Tieng to) was held in Hanoi over the last weekend to celebrate the 14th anniversary of the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day (November 23). 

An exhibition on silk products was organized at the Hanoi Old Quarter Culture Exchange Center at 50 Dao Duy Tu street, with the presence of Meritorious Artist Phan Thi Thuan, the only one who can make silk from lotus stems.

A series of fashion collections using silk materials made by fashion designers Trinh Bich Thuy, La Hang, Thục Anh were also introduced to the public at the exhibition.

Many other activities were also held within the program, such as an art and music show “Sound of the silk” by the Dong Kinh Co Nhac band; the exhibition “Legend of Heritage Tea – Giang Pang Sung Do” featuring 100 old Shan Snow tea trees in Giang Pang (Yen Bai province).

There was also a photo exhibition themed “Heritage in the heart of Hanoi” hosted photographer Le Bich.

These activities took place on November 23-24 at the Hanoi Old Quarter.
