Spanish pianist Hilario Segovia to perform in Ho Chi Minh city

The Embassy of Spain in Hanoi, in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music has the pleasure to present the first Chamber Music Concert in Vietnam of the Spanish pianist Hilario Segovia.

The concert will be held at the Auditorium of the Ho Chi Minh Conservatory of Music on 30 November 2018, and will offer a varied menu of famous works by Spanish and international authors, interpreted by Hilario Segovia, Spanish pianist and teacher at the Superior Conservatory of Castellón (Spain), accompanied by the Asian artists: Nguyen Bao Anh.

Nguyen Bao Anh, a Vietnamese bassoonist, is now living in Hong Kong and Artistic Director of the Saigon Philharmonic Orchestra, and Matthew Wu – flute artist and Chairman of the Hong Kong International Flute Competition.

The repertoire will start with Beethoven Trio for Piano, Flute and Bassoon in G major, WoO. 37, and continue with Three Romances of Schumann for bassoon and piano Op. 94. 
In the second half of the concert, the audience will travel to Spain with two famous compositions: Sonatina Jovenivola of Amando Blanquer, and El Albaicín (from Suite Iberia) of Maestro Isaac Albéniz. The program will finish with Sonate for Flute & Piano of Prokofiev.
