"Vietnamese equal families" photo contest launched

• Swedish Fika culture introduced in Vietnam
• Hanoi street design contest kicked off
• Italian Ambassador of Design visits Vietnam

To celebrate the International Women's Day, the Embassy of Sweden in Hanoi in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Vietnam Women’s Museum launched the photo contest "Vietnamese equal families" on March 6th.

Via this contest, the Organizing Board hoped to promote the gender equality in all families, encouraging the sharing of work and responsibilities among families' members including caring for children, doing housework and pursuing careers.

At the event, the Ambassador of Sweden in Vietnam affirmed, "The way to an equal society begins within each family. We need positive actions to contribute to a society where fathers, mothers and all children gain benefit".

The photo contest "Vietnamese equal families" will open from March 8th - May 15th. Over 30 most beautiful photos will be selected for an exhibition.

Sweden represents one of the most equal societies in the world. Currently, half of the Ministers in the Swedish Government are women.
