Two Vietnamese musical talents host the Duo - Flute & Piano concert

PSNews – Luu Duc Anh and Nguyen Ly Huong – the two Vietnamese musical maestros will exhibit their talent at the Duo – Flute & Piano concert on December 9, in the French Culture Center L’Espace, Hanoi. 

Luu Duc Anh is the son of Assoc. Prof Luu Quang Minh - a leading master of accordéon and jazz in Vietnam. His elder brother is also a famous pianist of Vietnam - artist Luu Hong Quang.  

Before earning a Bachelor’s and then a Master’s degree at excellent grades from the Royal Conservatory of Liège (Belgium), Duc Anh studied at the Vietnam National Academy of Music. 

In 2016, he received a full scholarship to pursue advanced study at the Malmo Music Academy of Sweden under the patron of Professor Hans Palsson, a universally famous pianist.

Duc Anh has won several international prestigious awards, such as the first prize of the piano contest "Léopold Godowsky" in 2014 (Warsaw-Poland); the first prize of the piano contest "Andrée Charlier" in 2015 (Charleroi-Belgium) and the first prize of the Stockholm international piano contest in 2017 (Stockholm-Sweden).

In June 2017, he was one of the nine young pianists invited to the Marinaro Grand Prix and performed at the music festival "Piano à Collioure” in southern France.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ly Huong with her flute major graduated from the National Academy of Music of Vietnam in 2014 at the excellent grade. She got a scholarship from the Malmo Music Academy of Sweden. She studied there under the patron of Professor Anders Ljungar-Chapelon, and graduated the school excellently.

She has been honored at international contests. In particular, Huong was the only Vietnamese artist invited to perform solo in the famous orchestra Cover Garden of London in Toyota Classic programme in 2014. Currently, Ly Huong is a member of the Southeast Asian Youth Orchestra in Bangkok, Thailand.

On December 9, Luu Duc Anh and Nguyen Ly Huong will demonstrate their skillful techniques when playing the musical instruments, leading French-music lovers to a romantic and tunable music space.
