UK, Australia and Italy to join DIFF 2017 final

On June 4, the Organizing Committee of the DIFF 2017 has disclosed some hot information to the press. According to the committee, three teams from the UK, Australia, and Italy have been selected for the finale of DIFF2017. The three teams have defeated 5 others in the 4 nights of the elimination round.
The DIFF 2017’s jury is composed of famous Vietnamese artists and musicians as well as representatives of foreign embassies, foreign cultural centers and international art organizations in Vietnam.

The jury has worked scientifically, seriously and objectively while frequently receiving timely, accurately advice from Global2000 Consulting, according to the Organizing Committee.

Each team participating in the final will be awarded a certificate, the winner will receive the DIFF2017 Cup and a 10,000 USD prize. Second and third prize teams will receive a 5,000 USD and 3,000 USD respectively.
DIFF started for the first time in 2008. Invited teams from all over the world and the host Vietnam perform their fireworks under various themes in the city. It was usually held in the end of March (2008-2010) and the end of April (2011-2015) on the Vietnamese National Reunion Day.
This year the event started from April 29 and will end on June 24, drawing the participation of eight teams. Fireworks have been performed on Saturday nights during the two months.
DIFF 2017 performances have after the themes of five elements Hoa (Fire) - Tho (Earth) - Kim (Metal) - Thuy (Water) - Moc (Wood).
A series of events, including a food festival, paragliding shows and an international music festival, have been organized during the DIFF 2017.
The event is expected to attract two million visitors to Da Nang which has just been recognized as Asia’s leading festival and event destination by the World Travel Awards.
