Vietnam - Lao border culture exchange to be organized in Son La

On the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Vietnam-Laos diplomatic ties establishment and 40 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC), the Vietnam - Lao cultural, sport and tourism exchange program will take place from July 5th to 7th to internationally promote potentials of  Vietnam and Laos for culture, sports and tourism as well as national cultural heritages in the process of renovation, integration and development.

Under the theme "Vietnam - Laos special united friendship", the program will witness the participation of 9 Vietnamese provinces and cities, and 10 Lao provinces. There will be a series of events taking place within the program's framework such as public music performances, traditional and ethnic costumes shows, demonstrations of local festivals, and traditional cultural activities of ethnic groups. 

Especially on this occasion, State President will award 88 orders and medals to leaders of Lao provinces and unveil the Vietnam - Laos Revolutionary Relics in Lao Kho village, Phieng Khoai commune, Yen Chau district, Son La province.
