Vietnam National Art Troupe gives performances in DPRK

PSNews - A delegation of the Vietnam National Art Troupe led by Mr. Vo Van Phuong, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education has completed a five-day visit to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

The delegation visited DPRK from April 11-16 at the invitation of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee, and joined in art activities in the country.

On April 14, Mr. Choe Ryong-hae, standing member of the Politburo, First Vice Chairman of the State Affairs Commission (SAC) of the DPRK, and President of the Presidium of the DPRK’s Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA), hosted a reception for Mr. Vo Van Phuong and the delegation.

Mr. Choe Ryong-hae warmly welcomed Mr. Vo Van Phuong and the delegation of the Vietnam National Art Troupe on their visit to DPRK to celebrate "Day of the Sun" - the birth anniversary of DPRK leader Kim Il-sung, affirming that the delegation’s visit served as a great encouragement to the DPRK Party, State and people.

Choe sincerely thanked leaders of the Vietnamese Party, State and people for their warm welcome for Chairman of the WPK and the State Affairs Commission Kim Jong-un during his recent visit to Vietnam. He also spoke highly of the achievements of the Vietnamese people in the process of implementing the Resolution of the 12th National Party Congress.

For his part, Phuong congratulated the DPRK Party, Government and people on the occasion of the "Day of the Sun". He also congratulated Choe on his recently-elected posts as First Vice Chairman of the SAC and President of the Presidium of the DPRK’s SPA.

He also congratulated the DPRK Party, Government and people on their new achievements in the cause of national construction, development as well as improving people's living standards. The guest hoped that the visit would be successful, and that performances of the Vietnam National Troupe would leave a good impression on local people.
