PSNews - The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in collaboration with VnExpress News and relevant agencies on September 24 held a conference to promote Vietnam tourism as a safe and attractive destination.

This conference in an initiative by the Vietnam national Administration of Tourism to cope with the impacts of the Covid-19 epidemic, with a view to reviving  the tourism industry and accomplishing targets set for 2020.

With the theme "Vietnam is safe and attractive", participants at the conference proposed that, in order to promote our domestic tourism, local authorities, travel agencies and relevant units should offer policies on exemption and reduction of entrance fees at tourist sites and destinations, air ticket discounts for groups of travelers, among other promotions.

In particular, they suggested forming stimulus alliances between localities, associations, businesses, agencies and airlines, developing good-quality, diverse products with attractive prices, and adopting flexible policies to ensure the interests of holiday-makers.

In the coming time, local authorities should organize cultural, sports and tourist events to attract tourists. Localities and businesses should choose their own messages that match the attractiveness as well as specific products of destinations, targeting Vietnamese and foreigners working and living in the country.

Earlier, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism instructed companies and localities to strictly follow COVID-19 prevention and control regulations. The ministry also  urged tourists and enterprises to regularly update themselves with information about destinations through mass media and apps.
