“Bong de” or “The Ancestral”, a film directed by Le Van Kiet, which may be officially released on May 14 in Vietnam, has been bought by 25 countries and territories so far.

CGV Vietnam on April 14 said that the film has set a record as the most sold Vietnamese film to foreign markets.

According to IMDB, 25 countries and territories, including Australia, Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia and Singapore, have bought the film.

More countries have been negotiating to buy the film.

This is good news for the crew as well as the Vietnamese cinema industry for in the past, the number of Vietnamese films that were sold abroad was quite small.

This is the first Vietnamese horror film on sleep paralysis - a phenomenon that is still controversial until now.
