Vietnam to host ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant
PSNews-The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has licensed Phu Yen to host the 2017 ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant, confirmed Mr. Ho Van Tien, Director of the Phu Yen Provincial Culture, Sports and Tourism Department.

The contest started from March 1 and the final round will take place from June 1 to July 2. The crowing night will be held in Tuy Hoa city on July 7. The 2017 ASEAN Friendship Beauty Pageant is one of a series of events to celebrate the 50th founding anniversary of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
This will be the first time, Phu Yen will have held a regional level beauty pageant, conveying the message: Exchanging and promoting culture, promoting friendship and peace among ASEAN’s member countries. It is also seen as a chance for the province of Phu Yen to introduce its tourism potentials to domestic and international tourists.
The organizers will hold a press conference in Ho Chi Minh City on March 15 to officially announce and promote the contest. On March 20, the contest will be officially launched in Phu Yen but the qualifying rounds have kicked off since March 1 and will last till April 28.
