Vietnamese cuisine earns records by WorldKings

PSNews - Recently, the World Records Union (WorldKings) has recognized five Vietnamese culinary world records, based on applications of Vietnamese cuisine.

WorldKings' Appraisal Council finally approved five applications for world records of Vietnamese cuisine after careful consideration on August 31.

Accordingly, Vietnam has been recognised as being home to the most “strand and broth” dishes in the world. WorldKings also informed that the country has 164 dishes, with the figure being continually updated.

Vietnam has also been acknowledged as the country with the most kinds of “mam” (salted fish) and dishes make from “mam” with typical favours in the world (100 dishes and more), the country with the most dishes make from flowers (272 dishes make from 43 different flowers).

The country is also home to the most kinds of special roll in the world. Indeed, the nation can be considered a paradise for special rolls, with 103 local dishes. Vietnam is also home to the most dishes in the world made from rice flour, with 143 dishes being counted so far.

The decision to recognise the five new world records of Vietnamese cuisine was made by WorldKings and is effective as of August 29.

In early of September 2020, all information related to the 05 World Records of Vietnamese cuisine will be released on the media of World Records Union (WorldKings) globally to help Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings) promote Vietnamese culinary values to the world.

In 2016 pho, bun cha (rice noodles with grilled pork) and banh mi (sandwich) were listed among the world’s 100 most famous foods by WorldKings.

WorldKings describes itself as the first union of national and regional records organizations in the world.
