Thang delivered an excellent performance of "Winter Days" on the piano which was highly appreciated by the competition’s judges. His strong showing was enough to win third prize, with Russian musicians Pyotr Dyatlov and Alexei Popkov winning the category’s first and second prizes, respectively.

The contest’s grand prize went to Maria Zaitseva, a student at the Gnessin Moscow Special School of Music. In addition to winning the grand prize, she also won first prize in the Cello category.

Currently, Thang is in the final year of his studies at the Tchaikovsky National Academy of Music, during which he has won an array of top prizes whilst competing in several prestigious international music competitions.

The "Golden Talents" International Music Competition is open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 27, with contestants participating in three categories during the competition, including in the violin, cello, and composition categories.
