The opening ceremony was held on September 19 with the participation of representatives from the Vietnamese Ministry of Health, Ministry of Industry and Trade, leaders of the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Association, foreign diplomatic missions, and hundreds of Vietnamese and international enterprises, doctors and researchers.

The event, which will run until September 22, is hosted by APDEX Joint Stock Company in cooperation with the Vietnam Pharmaceutical Companies’ Association and Vietnam Medical Import-Export Joint Stock Company.
Covering a total display area of 10,000sq.m, the exhibition includes 600 booths featuring a wide range of pharmaceutical products, drug manufacturing and packaging machinery, diagnostic equipment, healthcare and rehabilitation equipment, surgical devices, beauty care equipment and products, among others.
The expo attracts leading Vietnamese pharmaceutical producers and medical equipment suppliers, and involved firms from 25 countries and territories, such as Belgium, Germany, France, Canada, the Republic of Korea, the Czech Republic, China, Singapore, Taiwan (China), and Hong Kong (China).
Speaking at the event, Director of the Communications and Emulation and Reward Bureau of the Ministry of Health Nguyen Dinh Anh said the exhibition will connect Vietnamese and foreign medical and pharmaceutical enterprises.
According to head of the exhibition’s organization board Ha Thi Phuong Lam, the exhibition also features a series of conferences and seminars chaired by domestic and international medical experts.
