Data collected from 68 surveillance cameras will be transmitted to the ITS center 24/24, so that the center’s staff can capture the density of real-time traffic flows as well as quickly detect traffic accidents or other issues on the expressway.
With the technological aid, the ITS center can also cooperate effectively, promptly and closely with relevant agencies in rescuing people and vehicles in accidents, seeking solutions to traffic congestions and penalizing traffic violation cases.
The Ministry of Transportation has approved to run the Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – DauGiay Expressway since February 2015.
Since then, about 30 million vehicles have traveled on this route, contributing to reducing traffic jams and traffic accidents on gateways to HCMC.
