700 athletes to participate in 2020 National Taekwondo Club Championship

The information was released at a press conference on the morning of October 8 at the Republic of Korea (RoK) Cultural Center in Hanoi.
The Taekwondo tournament is funded by the RoK Embassy in Vietnam and is jointly organized by the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation and the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam and the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien Hue province.
The athletes will compete for sets of medals in combat and performance categories for three age groups (from 12-14 years old, from 15-17 years old, and over 17 years old) .
The tournament is considered as the biggest Taekwondo event for in Vietnam in 2020.
Representatives of the Department of Culture and Sports of Thua Thien-Hue province said the tournament also aims at celebrating the 45th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the province.
Meanwhile, the Vietnam Taekwondo Federation’s representatives hoped that the event will actively contribute to bilateral relationship and cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea.
