As reported by the Public Security Newspaper in recent days, heavy rains continuously occurred in South Central provinces, which made hundreds of tons of rocks of the Phi Chau mountain fall down 5 houses on the foot of the mount.

After being informed of the incident, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Police in collaboration with the Military Division 305 and the Khanh Hoa Provincial Military Command, has sent more than 200 officers and function vehicles to the scene to search and rescue the victims.
The rescue team found 2 dead bodies, including a woman aged 58 and a 4 year old boy, from the ruins and took 4 wounded to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Hospital.
According to Senior Colonel Nguyen Duc Quynh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Fire Police, 2 other are still missing.
The rescue team is still conducting the search and rescue mission.
