A day at locked-down commune in Vietnam amid Covid-19

Senior Colonel Dinh Ngoc Khoa, Director of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Police Department, member of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Steering Committee for COVID-19 prevention and control, inspects key checkpoints around the commune and directs the tasks of ensuring security and order in Son Loi Commune. |
The Son Loi Commune is quarantined for 20 days, from February 13. The working mission at each checkpoint also prepares appropriate measures to handle cases emerging. |
Health workers often spray disinfecting chemicals along the roads to the commune.
Some police and military’s tents have temporarily been set up on the side of the roads. |
During the quarantined time, all people of Son Loi commune will be provided with food and other necessities. |
The local police force has also set up 12 checkpoints and mobilized 352 officers from the local police and military units, health sector and communal officials to control the disease.
Besides, 100 police officers and soldiers are ready to support upon request.
