Another case of bird flu reported in Vietnam

Another case of avian influenza, also known as bird flu, has been reported in Vietnam, health officials said on April 4.

The most recent case was reported at a duck farm in the province of Dak Lak.
Given the proximity of this outbreak to others previously detected, this is not unexpected, said animal health officials of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.
They said the Ministry would continue to execute a plan, working quickly with local officials to prevent the virus from spreading further.
The Ministry noted, it has already depopulated the latest flock and that no affected animals entered the food chain—adding that the risk of a person becoming ill with avian influenza during poultry incidents is very low.
