According to the Cho Moi District People's Committee of An Giang province, the land subsidence incident in My Hoi hamlet, My Hoi Dong commune has caused damages worth VND 90 billion.
Local authorities rendered support to the affected people.

Earlier, on May 2, the Cho Moi District People's Committee held a meeting with households in the land-subsidence area in My Hoi hamlet, My Hoi Dong commune.
At the meeting, representatives of the local authorities explained to the affected households about supporting policies of the State and local policies to resettle the affected households. In addition, the local authorities offered necessities to them.
Chairman of the My Hoi Dong Commune People's Committee released that the authorities have already drawn up plans to support the local people and tasked security forces to mornitor the situation at key points.
