Bank employees hold meaningful journey to Truong Sa archipelago

PSNews - A delegation of Agribank in May held a meaningful journey to the Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platforms in celebration of the 43rd anniversary of national reunification (April 30, 1975), the 128th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890), the 63rd anniversary of establishment of the Vietnam People's Navy (May 7, 1955), and the 40th anniversary of establishment of Navy Brigade 146 (May 8, 1978).

2018 is considered an eventful year of the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam (Agribank) as it celebrated its 30th anniversary of establishment (March 26, 1988) and received the Labor Order from the Party and the State.

The delegation of Agribank visited and presented gifts to officers and soldiers on 10 islets of the Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 Platform  11. The gifts totaled 500 million VND, which was contributed by members of Agribank's Trade Union Organization.

The delegation also handed over 210 million VND to the officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4 and on islets of the Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platforms.

Within the framework of the journey, the delegation of Agribank also offered incense at Tran Hung Dao Statue on Song Tu Tay island, at General Vo Nguyen Giap Statue on Son Ca island, at Memorial House of President Ho Chi Minh, and at Memorial of Heroic Martyrs on Truong Sa island. The delegation also visited schools, hospitals and people residing in Truong Sa Town, Sinh Ton and Song Tu communes.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong, Agribank Deputy General Director, Head of the Steering Committee of  the Youth Development Program of Agribank said that, after the journey to the Truong Sa archipelago and DK1 platform, the bank will continue to carry out more meaningful activities in support of those living in our beloved Truong Sa archipelago.
