Building legal framework for adventure tourism
The draft includes 5 chapters, 15 articles prescribing the procedure on how to organise and exploit the business of adventure tourism; the terms for unites, individuals managing adventure travel destinations; the terms for tourists joining adventure activities; the responsibilities of relevant parties, etc.
Mr. Ngo Hoai Chung – Deputy General Director of VNAT stated that the adventure travel is not derived from Vietnam but it has been developing rapidly in the last few years. However, to date, the law regarding this section is not conducted, causing difficulties in exploiting and managing.
Since early this year until now, there were several accidents related to adventure travel in Lam Dong and in many localities across the country, causing great loss of life and property.
Considering the first gathering of this draft, VNAT hoped that the competed draft will be approved and issued by 2017 after submitting to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
