COVID-19-infected mom gives birth in field hospital

The pregnant woman, aged 35, is COVID-19 patient No. 569. She is one of the first 2 pregnant women in Vietnam infected with COVID-19.
According to Doctor Nguyen Dai Vinh, Head of the Hoa Vang District Medical Center, patient No. 569 has been under treatment at the Hoa Vang field hospital for more than a week.
On August 15, the pregnant patient had abdominal pain and was about to give birth.
A combined team of nurses and doctors from the Hoa Vang field hospital and the Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital decided to perform a C-section on the women.
On the same day, the woman successfully gave birth to a baby girl weighing 3kg. At the moment, both mother and the baby are in a good health condition.
The baby will take tests for COVID-19 before being transferred to the Da Nang Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.
