Initial investigation results revealed that over 380 Chinese nationals run various websites of online gambling.

The police reported that the money traded on the gambling network mounted to more than 3 billion Yuan (about VND 10,000 billion). The police also seized nearly 2,000 smartphones, 533 computers of various kinds, many bank cards, cash, and various other exhibits related to the case.

According to the investigation agency, the Chinese nationals were divided into smaller groups to run the online gambling network around the clock, and they lived inside the premises, hardly had any contacts with people outside.

This criminal clique had a new and sophisticated method of operating an online gambling network under the cover of a foreign investment enterprise in Vietnam. This is also the largest online gambling case with the largest number of foreigners and the largest amount of money the police have ever discovered and investigated in Vietnam.

The case is under further investigation.
