The AHA program aims to introduce passengers to the international airports that have met the international standards for pandemic prevention and given first and foremost priority to health safety of their passengers in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In order to receive the certificate, Da Nang airport had to undergo a strict assessment of health safety measures, including cleaning and disinfection procedures, physical distancing, staff protection, physical layout, passenger communications, and passenger facilities.
Da Nang airport is one of 7 designated airports in Vietnam participating in International Health Regulations 2005. The AHA certificate also serves as a legal basis to resume international air routes between Da Nang city and destinations worldwide.
ACI is the only global trade representative of the world’s airports. Established in 1991, ACI represents airports interests with Governments and international organizations such as ICAO. It develops standards, policies and recommended practices for airports, and provides information and training opportunities to raise standards around the world.
Earlier, Noi Bai International Airport has received the certificate of AHA from ACI on November 24.
