Ducks live on Hoan Kiem Lake
A flock of five ducks have made a home on Hoan Kiem Lake in recent days.

Nguyen Van Thanh, a staff member from a restaurant near the lake, said he saw the ducks some days ago. Initially, many people thought that they were swans. They also wondered where the ducks came from.
According to Pham Tung Lam, head of Hoan Kiem Lake Management Board, he was informed of the ducks’ appearance recently; but he himself did not know anything about their origin.
A representative from Hanoi Sewerage and Drainage Limited Company guessed that the ducks might be released by someone after Tet Holiday.
Earlier, 12 swans imported from Belgium were released to Hoan Kiem Lake, but just one day after that, they were moved to Thien Quang Lake following public concerns over their safety.
