Exhibition on Vietnam’s achievements in human rights held in Da Lat
- Vietnam contributes to UN Human Right Council’s 42nd session
- Police forces asked to ensure practice of human rights
The exhibition, themed “For the happiness of each person”, displays 300 photos and documents captioned in both Vietnamese and English. It has been organized into 3 sections.
The first section consists of 23 documents and 94 photos, reflecting the practice of human rights during the Vietnam’s feudal dynasties before the August Revolution.
The second section has photos and documents featuring Vietnam’s liberation wars against foreign invaders and its achievements in ensuring and practicing human rights in the period from 1945 to 1986 (before the Doi moi process).
The third section showcases photos and documents. The exhibits reflect the practice of the basic rights of politics, economics and culture, Vietnam’s effort to ensure rights of the vulnerable social groups and to promote international cooperation on human rights.
On same day, at Da Lat University, the National Archives Center in collaboration with the Da Lat Municipal People's Committee and Da Lat University also organized an exhibition of the woodblocks of the Nguyen dynasties – a world documentary heritage, on the country’s names and its capitals in historical periods.
