FinancePilot project to allow Vietnamese citizens to gamble at casino

PSNews – The Ministry of Finance on February 23rd dispatched a statement on Decree No.03/2017/ND-CP issued by the Government on January 16th, 2017, regulating casino business. Notably, the decree allows Vietnamese citizen to gamble at casino in Vietnam in a trial time of 3 years.
After 3 years of the pilot project, the government will review and evaluate the situation, and finally decide whether Vietnamese citizens can or cannot gamble in Vietnam-based casinos.

Regarding the conditions, the degree articulates, those who can gamble in casinos are Vietnamese citizens of 21 years old and above with their sufficient civil act capacity and financial capability (with a monthly income of at least 10 million VND or in the third group of income tax).
People must purchase ticket in order to play gamble at casino (entrance fee is 1 million VND for 24 hours for each person, or 25 million VND monthly for each person). Anyone whose kin people petition a casino to reject will not allowed to gamble at the casino.
