Forest firefighting drill held in Gia Lai

• 4,000 people join anti-terror drill in HCMC
• People and police of Phu Quoc join firefighting and rescue drill

The drill drew the participation of 50 police officers and soldiers from the Fire Prevention and Fighting and Rescue Division under the Gia Lai Provincial Police Department and the Ia Grai District Police Station, the Ia Der Commune Police Post, along with specialized vehicles.

The drill was also participated in the on-site forest fire fighting forces, local forest guards, and a team of doctors and nurses to provide first aid for possible injury cases.

During the drill, the participating forces demonstrated good their skills at forest fire fighting and knew how to combine manual and mechanical firefighting techniques, as well as direct and indirect firefighting methods.

The local fire police forces actively participated in the drill and contributed vastly to the success of the event.

The drill also provided valuable experience for the participating forces, especially the fire police force in handling and extinguishing forest fire in case it occurs in the locality.
