Four hospitals in Thu Thien - Hue assigned to treat COVID-19 patients

The central province of Thua Thien – Hue has entrusted 4 hospitals to treat COVID-19 patients, according to the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Combat of the province.
These hospitals have prepared 220 beds for those who had close contact with COVID-19 patients (F1) and now have clinical symptoms. Confirmed COVID-19 cases will be transferred to the2nd facility of the Hue Central Hospital for treatment.
By the afternoon of August 2, no more infected cases had been detected in Thua Thien – Hue.
The province has recorded 18 positive cases for COVID-19, and all of them are under treatment at the 2nd facility of Hue Central Hospital. All of the patients were taken from Da Nang and Quang Nam.
The province health sector has carried out over 14,800 tests, and 10,500 have had negative results.
The Provincial People’s Committee has issued an emergency dispatch, directing local agencies and units to urgently take measures to prevent and control the epidemic.
The authorities asked all people to wear masks when going out, wash their hands regularly with soaps and avoid gatherings.
Unnecessary business activities and services, such as karaoke, bars, massage facilities and cinemas, are temporarily closed.
The province also established 5 quick response teams in an attempt to track people associated with patients 589, 601 and 602.
According to official statistics, over 19,500 people have returned to Thua Thien – Hue from the epidemic hit areas. Particularly, some 14,000 people returned from Da Nang, and 1,300 people from Quang Nam. Functional forces have identified 327 F1 cases, 1,306 F2 cases (people who had close contact with F1 cases) and 2,420 F3 cases.
