HCMC police detect 11 foreigners illegally residing in the city

The police of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) on May 4 reported that they detected and handled 11 foreigners without legal immigration documents and residence permits, residing in the city.

The local police also released that they detained two persons involved in organizing the illegal immigration for the foreigners.

During the recent four-day vacation, all police units of HCMC took various measures to promptly detect illegal immigrants, as well as deployed forces and means to coordinate with the health sector in preventing and fighting the pandemic.

A large number of police officers and soldiers have also been mobilized to guard quarantine zones and trace people contacting COVID-19 patients. 

Additionally, the local police participated in maintaining security and order in two isolated places in the city.
