PSNews – Recently, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong had a meeting with leaders of Quang Ninh province on the progress of the project of Hai Phong – Ha Long expressway.
According to the principal investor, after more than 3 years of construction, the main items of the project "Hai Phong - Ha Long expressway have now been basically completed. On the Ha Long - Bach Dang bridge, part of the project, traffic sign posts of the final subproject, are being erected.
Meanwhile, contractors are also trying to accelerate the progress of other remaining items such as asphalting the road, delineating traffic lanes and building parapet systems so as to finish the whole project by August 25, ready for certification.
It is known that after the project has been certified, the State Acceptance Council will release a written approval of the project by August 31 and put the project into operation on September 2, the Independence Day of Vietnam.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Transport Nguyen Van Cong agreed with proposals of the Quang Ninh authorities to inaugurate the project on September 2 and suggested regulating a speed limit of 80km/h on the Hai Phong - Ha Long expressway in the first phase. He also asked relevant units to ensure the quality of the remaining items while speeding up the progress of the project.By Linh Bui
