Hails pour down in Dat Lat

The rain that lasted nearly an hour damaged various outdoor vegetable crops.

Meanwhile, relatively large hailstones dropped for nearly 15 minutes, said Nguyen Nhat, resident of Van Thanh, Ward 5, Da Lat. The little finger-sized hailstones were running down in water flows and formed enormous ice blocks. When the rain stopped, the ice blocks had not melted down yet.

Hails also ruined a relatively large area of vegetable crops in Van Thanh.

This is the first hail in Da Lat since the beginning of 2017. Annually, at the beginning of the rainy season hails often together with cyclones occur in Da Lat and the districts of Lac Duong, Don Duong and Duc Trong, causing heavy losses to local agricultural production.
