Haiphong inaugurates new Teleme Dicine system connect to Bach Long Vi Island

PSNews – The Vietnam National Institute of Maritime Medicine in Hai Phong held the grand ceremony on November 20th to inaugurate a modern Telemedicine system, connecting between the Bach Long Vi Military-Civilian Medical Center  and the Vietnam National Institute of Maritime Medicine and Vietnam and Czech Friendship Hospital.

The Telemedicine system aims to improve the quality of healthcare of islanders and provide emergency treatment for fishermen and armed forces working at sea, people living on other offshore islands; as a result, patients do not need to go a long way to be hospitalized in the mainland.

Accordingly, the system connects together the 3 places: The control center with medical record documentation and data capture, Terminals Group 500 and display screen installed at the Vietnam National Institute of Maritime Medicine; Terminals Group 500 and display screen at Vietnam & Czech Friendship Hospital, and  Terminals, medical camera AMD 2500, image processing device, display screen at Bach Long Vi Medical Center.

The Remote Medical Center using Telemedicine will help offshore people receive direct healthcare, medical consultancy, emergency treatment from leading doctors at the Vietnam National Institute of Maritime Medicine, or from leading hospitals at higher local and central levels.

The Telemedicine system the quality of healthcare for islander and fishermen and forces operating in high sea, encouraging them to work in the high sea within Vietnam’s waters, contributing to firmly protecting national sovereignty over the Fatherland’s seas and islands.
